Web site advertising basics
Open Source & Free Software Reporter offers two types of ads on its Web site: banner ads and line ads.
Banner ads run, on each page, inside the editorial frame, both above and below the text. An example can be found here.
Line ads run as one-line links immediately below the top banner ad and immediately above the bottom banner ad.
The basic rate for banner ads, the dimensions of which are a maximum
of 570 pixels wide by 100 pixels deep is $45 per month per ad per page.
Smaller banner ads are negotiable and would be priced accordingly. For details, contact OSR editor/publisher Larry Cafiero here.
A line ad, with a maximum of 45 characters including punctuation and
spaces, will cost advertisers $25 per line per page per month.
month.
Special prices are available for multiple Web ads or multiple
Web/print ads. For details, contact OSR editor/publisher Larry Cafiero here.

Legacy advertisers
Open Source & Free Software Reporter would like to thank those advertisers who start out with us by providing a "legacy advertiser" program
Legacy advertisers are those who sign ad contacts with OSFSR between
February 2007 and February 2008.
Our offer to legacy advertisers is to lock in the original price of
advertising for a minimum of 24 months, with an option of keeping the
same price and/or offering additional placement of ads at a price
discounted from what expects to be a higher ad rate two years down the
line.
On the Web site, legacy advertisers also will have a special page with links to their pages.
For more information, contact Larry Cafiero.
