NeoOffice makes improvements

NeoOffice, the Mac OS X native-ized port of the OpenOffice.org productivity suite, is now at version 2.1. This release is marked by several key improvements, some inherited from OpenOffice.org, and some native to OS X. More on the story from NewsForge here.

OpenOffice to Dell: Package us

In an open letter released today, the OpenOffice.org community invites Michael Dell to work with them to pre-install OpenOffice.org 2 office software on Dell computers as an alternative to Microsoft Office. Dell's own IdeaStorm website has recorded an overwhelming customer demand for this feature, currently showing over 70,000 requests for OpenOffice.org 2. More on the story can be found here.

It's Barcelona for OpenOffice conference
